A Night of Celebration and Athletic Spirit
Celebrating Sportsmanship, Hard Work and Dedication.
TIS Athletic Banquet is an annual event that brings together all athletes and coaches for a night of celebration, marking the end of the sports season. The banquet is a highly anticipated event, as it provides an opportunity to acknowledge all the athletic achievements made throughout the year, reflect on the hard work and dedication that each athlete has put into their sport, as well as the support and guidance provided by their coaches.
This year's banquet is particularly special as the TIS Tigers have made a triumphant return to both international and local competitions, after the 3 year pandemic. The athletes have achieved remarkable success across various sporting events, including Junior Girls and Boys Volleyball teams securing first and third place, respectively, in the PRC Volleyball Tournament, and the Senior Boys and Girls Football teams emerging as champions of the PRC High School Soccer Tournament, with the Senior Girls further excelling at the ACAMIS Soccer Tournament in Tianjin and bringing home the second-place trophy. Additionally, the eSports team won the FUSE Cup Mario Kart Tournament in Singapore and the TIS swimmers brought home 9 Golds, 11 Silvers, and 3 Bronzes from the DSEDJ Swim Meet, earning the second-highest number of medals among all participating schools!
During the banquet, awards are presented to outstanding athletes in various categories, such as Most Valuable Player, Most Improved Player and Athlete of the Year. These awards recognize the remarkable performance of athletes who have shown exceptional skills, sportsmanship, and leadership on and off the field. This year’s Athlete of the Year recipients are:
Elementary Male - Damon Mok
Elementary Female - Renita Tou
Junior Male - Lucas Logan-Wright
Junior Female - Maigaew Da Silva Braga
Senior Male - Kaidyn Kiat
Senior Female - Emmi Lai
TIS athletes and coaches are a true testament of unwavering commitment, hard work and dedication! We are beyond proud of what they have accomplished and are honored to celebrate them and their successes at this annual event. Go Tigers!
